Website Privacy Statement

The Centre for Responsible Gambling is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy statement. This privacy statement applies to the website of the Centre for Responsible Gambling (centrumvoorverantwoordgokken.org and cvvgokken.org).

1. Personal data that we process

Our website is an informative website. You can visit the website without creating an account and without providing us with any data. We only process personal data in the following cases:

• Contact form: the data you enter yourself, such as your name, your email address, and the content of your message. This data is not stored on the website but is sent to us as an email;
• Contact by email or telephone: the details you provide to us yourself when you contact us in another way;
• Website visits: technical data about your visit, such as internet browser and device type, and data about the use of the website (statistics).

2. Data processing under the age of 16

Our website does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from their parent(s) or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such permission, please contact us at info@cvvgokken.org. We will then delete this data immediately.

3. For what purpose and on what legal basis we process personal data

We process personal data only for a specific purpose and on a legal basis in accordance with the GDPR.

Have you sent us a message via the contact form, by email, or by telephone? Then we use your details to answer your question or comment and to contact you further if necessary.

The basis for this processing is: our legitimate interest (we need to be able to communicate with you in order to handle and follow up on questions or complaints).

Statistics and improvement of the website

Wij gebruiken Google Analytics om te meten hoe onze website wordt gebruikt, zodat wij de website kunnen verbeteren. Hierbij worden gegevens over uw bezoek verwerkt, zoals bezochte pagina's, internetbrowser en apparaattype.

De grondslag voor deze verwerking is: [uw toestemming / ons gerechtvaardigd belang bij het verbeteren van onze website].

4. Geautomatiseerde besluitvorming

Centrum voor Verantwoord Gokken neemt op basis van geautomatiseerde verwerkingen geen besluiten over zaken die (aanzienlijke) gevolgen kunnen hebben voor personen.

5. Hoe lang we persoonsgegevens bewaren

Centrum voor Verantwoord Gokken bewaart uw persoonsgegevens niet langer dan strikt nodig is om de doelen te realiseren waarvoor uw gegevens worden verzameld.

Contact

Berichten die u ons stuurt en de bijbehorende contactgegevens worden voor een termijn van twee (2) jaar bewaard. Deze termijn begint vanaf het laatste contactmoment.

Statistieken

Gegevens in Google Analytics worden maximaal [14] maanden bewaard.

6. Delen van persoonsgegevens met derden

Centrum voor Verantwoord Gokken verkoopt uw gegevens nimmer aan derden en verstrekt deze uitsluitend als dit nodig is voor de hierboven genoemde doelen of om te voldoen aan een wettelijke verplichting.

Wij maken gebruik van dienstverleners die in onze opdracht gegevens verwerken, namelijk de partij die onze website host, onze e-mailprovider en Google (Google Analytics). Met deze partijen sluiten wij een verwerkersovereenkomst af om te zorgen voor eenzelfde niveau van beveiliging en vertrouwelijkheid van uw gegevens. Centrum voor Verantwoord Gokken blijft verantwoordelijk voor deze verwerkingen.

Google kan gegevens verwerken buiten de Europese Economische Ruimte. In dat geval gelden daarvoor passende waarborgen conform de AVG.

7. Cookies, of vergelijkbare technieken, die wij gebruiken

Centrum voor Verantwoord Gokken gebruikt noodzakelijke en analytische cookies. Een cookie is een klein tekstbestand dat bij het eerste bezoek aan onze website wordt opgeslagen op uw computer, tablet of smartphone. Noodzakelijke cookies zorgen ervoor dat de website naar behoren werkt. Met analytische cookies kunnen wij onze website optimaliseren. Voor specifiekere informatie over de cookies die wij plaatsen, bekijk onze cookieverklaring.

U kunt zich afmelden voor cookies door uw internetbrowser zo in te stellen dat deze geen cookies meer opslaat. Daarnaast kunt u alle informatie die eerder is opgeslagen via de instellingen van uw browser verwijderen. De Zelftest op onze site bevat geen enkele cookie. Door het bekijken van een video op de site kunnen er cookies van derden worden geplaatst.

8. Gegevens inzien, aanpassen of verwijderen

Op grond van de AVG heeft u de volgende rechten met betrekking tot uw persoonsgegevens:

• Recht op inzage (artikel 15 AVG): u kunt de gegevens opvragen die wij van u hebben vastgelegd;
• Recht op rectificatie (artikel 16 AVG): u kunt onjuiste of verouderde gegevens laten aanpassen;
• Right to erasure of data (Article 17 GDPR): in certain cases, you can ask us to delete your data;
• Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR): in certain cases, you can ask us to restrict the use of your data;
• Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR): you may request us, if reasonable and possible, to transfer your data to another party;
• Right of objection (Article 21 GDPR): you can object to the use of your data;
• Withdrawal of consent: where we process data based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Exercise the above rights?

In most cases, an email to our Data Protection Officer is sufficient to exercise your rights. If we have doubts about whether you are who you say you are, we may ask you to confirm your identity. We will choose the least intrusive method for doing so.

Right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority

You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you believe that the Center for Responsible Gambling has not handled your personal data correctly. You can do so via this link .

9. How we secure personal data

The Center for Responsible Gambling takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification.

• Your visit to our website takes place via a secure internet connection. You can see this by the 'https' and the padlock icon in the address bar.
• Messages you send to us are only accessible to authorized employees of the Center for Responsible Gambling.
• The devices used to access your data are secured with a password and/or fingerprint scan and/or facial recognition.

If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us via info@cvvgokken.org.

10. Changes

The Center for Responsible Gambling may amend this privacy statement. We will announce changes via our website. You can always find the most recent version on this page.
